four firsts

today I:

1. Used a paper shredder for the first time in my life

2. Used an ATM machine for the first time in my life (I know, I should get out more. but isn't it kind of cool? :)

3. Cooked a meatloaf pattie in a 9x13 (and splattered it all over the clean oven) ... for the first time in my life (and hopefully the last)

4. Ate Cranberry Almond Crunch for the first time in over a year, thanks to Kim, who knows of my love for afore mentioned cereal, and her big heart

a truth.

There is in every true woman's heart a spark of heavenly fire, which lies dormant in the broad daylight of prosperity; but which kindles up and beams and blazes in the dark hour of adversity.

call me rosie

I'm claiming a brag/whine moment. (This is my blog, after all, and as such I have inherent rights.) I worked approximately 12 hours and 35 minutes today at three different jobs. It was a looooong day and I just barely got home. Technically, it should have been a 13 1/2 hr day but I absolutely could not find my keys this morning when I went to leave for work at 9 am. So, after much searching, a prayer, and more searching, I finally found them an hour later - on my roommate's desk - and no clue how they got there... Only 2 more Fridays (after today) like this one! Huzzah! Yes, it's true, I put in my two weeks for both Terra Mia jobs (office and restaurant). It certainly is liberating when you take actions that involve being true to yourself. And, you know you've either been away from school too long or you've had an undesirable job - or both - when you're looking forward to putting in 12 hour days of studying. Ha! Well, I just have more appreciation for school now. :)

Press Forward Saints!

"Our responsibility is not trivial; it is not by chance that we are who we are; the keeping of our covenants in these days of destiny will be a badge of honor throughout all the eternities."
