My May Eleventh Resolution

Recently I've been a little disgusted with myself and my lack of self-discipline. Maybe it comes from not really being in a routine of things what with having new classes and being in a new apartment and ward. Yesterday I made a resolution to take control of my life. I even went to bed early to prove it. From now on, I'm going to do the things I need to do when I need to do them. I may even try to get some things done early...? (It may be wishful thinking, but I'm going to try nonetheless.)

"As we consider various choices, we should remember that it is not enough that something is good. Other choices are better, and still others are best. Even though a particular choice is more costly, its far greater value may make it the best choice of all.

"Consider how we use our time in the choices we make in viewing television, playing video games, surfing the Internet, or reading books or magazines. Of course it is good to view wholesome entertainment or to obtain interesting information. But not everything of that sort is worth the portion of our life we give to obtain it. Some things are better, and others are best. When the Lord told us to seek learning, He said, 'Seek ye out of the best books words of wisdom' (D&C 88:118)."

So would an invitation to come with Sage and Eliza and me to the zoo be untimely considering this new resolution? I am making my own resolution to get a cute picture of you and one of my kids for your blog header, and to get you to make me some of those delicious scones. And I always have more burnt almond fudge ice cream, too!

What a great goal. It is so hard to always do the BEST things.

Suz, you inspire me. I have not been very self-controlled lately either. Thanks to your reminder I am going to try again.

I like the new layout! Oh my...that's so nice of her. I loved her dinner, it was one of the best things I've ever eaten. I must have the recipie sometime (just so you know...ha ha). Good luck with your goals! Those are always hard!

And those scones...delish. For the tenth time.

I think you should make a new resolution. Like maybe to post on your blog more than once a semester
:)

Suzy! Have you fallen off the earth!? I miss you m'dear...and I miss your blogs. Aren't you supposed to have more time in the summer to do pointless things like blogging? Not that I'm saying blogging is pointless, per say. :)
