the P-word

Look familiar to anyone? I think this chart is actually a biography of my life.

Procrastination is my sin
It brings me much great sorrow.
Alas! I must o'ercome it now!
(I think I'll start tomorrow . . .)

Any takers to write my research paper for me? No? I didn't think so. Maybe I'll go check my email. And I better see if anyone's updated their blog recently. And if I had a Facebook, I'd check that, too.

And, since Rich doesn't have a blog he deserves to be represented, too:

haha Janel, I win. I'm supposed to be writing a mission prep paper right now... but, I'd rather check Suzy's blog. I was sweet at procrastinating in high school. I would always put stuff off to the very last day, and then do just well enough to get a good grade. The way I see it, why should I start a project early and worry about it for two weeks, when I could just put it off and only have to worry about it for 6 hours? That makes sense to me. Planned procrastiantion is the way to go. Keep it up Suz!

hahahah I love the cartoons. "I think I'm going to go have a little look at the internet" is my first thought after starting a project....

Why is it so tempting to just have a little look on the internet? Even when I've checked everything (when I'm procrastinating), I always think, "Well, I'd better check my bank balances." and other ridiculous things.

Isn't that what "p.m." stands for? Procrastinate until morning? --Mom

I love the flow chart. It is such an accurate graphical description of the p-word as you have dubbed it. I would have to agree with Ryan's statement about planned procrastination being the way to go. If you get one thing done early isn't there just another one to start? Then that just takes the fun out of finishing something early.

Don't worry about your procrastinating. Blogging is more important than school anyway.
